Insight
From fork to field
VIVESCIA is central to the markets, value chains and the new expectations of its customers

In addition to the historic - and still essential - high-volume value chains that feed the starch, ethanol and beer markets, VIVESCIA is accelerating the development of added-value and specialty sourcing agreements, at the same time as positioning itself on an important cross-industry challenge: the development of low-carbon grain production.

What is a VALUE CHAIN AGREEMENT?

A commitment to partnership
Building long-term relationships between different links in the same chain to add value created jointly by three contributors - the grower, the Cooperative and the user/customer - to deliver consumer satisfaction.
Special requirements
Limiting GHG* emissions and storing carbon, protecting biodiversity, local sourcing, soils, varietal selection, fieldlevel traceability, value sharing... all of these customer demands and more are incorporated into a specification that sets the expected production volumes and quality levels.
A guarantee
A value chain agreement provides the visibility - and therefore peace of mind - required not only by the producer and consumer, but also the processor, and therefore provides a guarantee that the specified criteria will be met.
The keys to success

Consultation and co-construction
of specifications.
Traceability at every stage
from sowing to rotation, grain processing, demand-side pull logistics flows and audits.

We ask...
Claire Madoré
Director of Marketing, E-Business and Retail Sales at Grands Moulins de Paris.
How does Club Francine align with the history of the Group?
It is a meaningful initiative that aligns 100% with the DNA of our Group, and the growth it has achieved as a direct result of its combined agricultural and industrial model. Club Francine actively promotes the development of initiatives that take us towards increasingly virtuous certified agricultural practices compliant with Level-2 environmental certification as a minimum.
The specification gives cooperative farmers the guarantee of a threeyear commitment, higher grain prices and the opportunity to have direct contact with consumers: as the starting point for the Francine brand’s ‘Wheatfield to Kitchen’ sourcing agreement, they will get exclusive updates on the latest market news, product benefits and invitations to special events, such as tastings and mill visits.
By 2024, every grain of wheat used by Francine will come from its Cooperative. So Club Francine is something everyone can feel genuinely proud of!
Francine... France’s favourite flour.
An iconic and trusted brand that pays close attention to the needs of its consumers, and has always been fully committed to a more responsible future for our planet by respecting people and natural resources
