Dedicated to safety, this annual event involves all Group employees in all operating countries. Workshop sessions, games, exercises and personal experiences brought to life the new ‘CARE Towards 2025’ initiative to control and mitigate major risks across all Group businesses.

The VIVESCIA ‘Agriculture and climate change’ conference
What challenges does climate change pose to agriculture, and what levers can agriculture use to respond successfully? These were the central issues discussed at the conference held to coincide with the 2021 Group Annual General Meetings. A number of respected experts took to the stage to share their convictions on these challenges. There were also conference presentations from agrifood industry leaders and VIVESCIA Group customers.

Start of the conflict in Ukraine
Unprecedented and historic tensions are shaking the foundations of the global grain, fertiliser and energy markets, which were already suffering as a result of widespread inflation and shortages even before this major new crisis broke.
Malteurop, which operates in Ukraine through its maltings in Chernihiv and Kharkiv, decided immediately to close its production facilities. The company’s 95 employees and their families are receiving financial support and counselling.

The Paris International Agricultural Show: VIVESCIA signs a 3-year partnership agreement with French food banks
Its aim is to work with the departmental authorities of Marne, Aube, Ardennes, Meuse and Haute-Marne to provide sufficient Francine flour to meet the annual needs of people in food poverty who live in those communities covered by the Cooperative.

VIVESCIA becomes the first grain cooperative to offer simplified carbon assessments on such a large scale
The aim of these assessments is to raise farmer awareness of the new challenges facing agriculture. This online carbon assessment is free of charge for all VIVESCIA cooperative farmers. The initiative was featured in the France 2 evening TV news bulletin on 28 July...

Visit by Guillaume Gomez, the French President’s gastronomy adviser, and Dominique Anract, President of the CNBPF*
These two high-profile guests were accompanied by a delegation from the Club de la Table Française for their tour of the VIVESCIA wheat agronomic trials facility in Lagery. The visit provided the opportunity to discuss the selection of wheat varieties and their role in the French milling and baking industries.

Malteurop officially switches on 12,000 m² of photovoltaic panels at its San Adrián maltings in Spain
The new panels meet 12% of the site’s power demand, and reduce annual atmospheric CO2 emissions by 685 tonnes.

The VIVESCIA Village proved a constant attraction at the Foire de Châlons agricultural show, with policy discussions, interaction with young farmers, round table sessions to discuss carbon and climate issues, meetings and conversations with cooperative farmers, biodiversity and solidarity issues, and - of course - activities for all ages courtesy of Francine...
