Grands Moulins de Paris’s sales volumes have bounced back, especially sales to food processing companies and consumer sales under the Francine brand, which has seen record market share growth and strengthened its position as market leader. Inflationary pressure on most cost items (wheat, energy, transport, etc.) has forced us to negotiate targeted price increases with customers. All these measures, combined with operational progress plans, have helped us limit the effects of inflation last year. Grands Moulins de Paris is rationalising its production facilities (shutdown of the mill in Nancy) and pursuing its logistical progress plans with a particular focus on digital technologies (e-commerce, Information Systems, customer relationships management). Its teams continue to innovate with flour and baking mixes for artisan bakers while capitalising on local sourcing and developing specific supply agreements.

UNESCO
The baguette makes UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage list!
Grands Moulins de Paris and the VIVESCIA Cooperative teamed up with the French Bakery and Patisserie Confederation to host UNESCO’s ambassadors at the Châlons trade fair in September 2021. The aim was to present all the know-how needed to make a baguette – from the wheat field to the baker. And their efforts paid off, since at the end of November 2022, the baguette was indeed listed on UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage list.
