Délifrance’s frozen bakery business saw strong volume growth on all segments, in France and the rest of Europe. This increase can be explained by the post-Covid recovery of the market and our sales teams’ motivation to make significant new market share gains. Only Asia lags behind in this recovery due to successive lockdowns implemented locally to fight the pandemic. Very strong inflation – on butter, flour, packaging, and energy in particular – has been offset thanks to an aggressive commercial policy, significant price increases, and measures to boost operational efficiency. Délifrance is pursuing its strategy and investments, and it continues to prepare for the future by stepping up a CSR strategy that is in line with the Group’s LINK policy.
PRODUCTION SITES
- ROMANS-SUR-ISÈRE : A new cold store due to be commissioned on schedule. Opening expected in spring 2023.
- LANDEVANT : Installation of a new semiautomated artisan production line
- LISCATE : Opening of a new artisan boule bread line.
SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
In line with VIVESCIA Group’s commitments made as part of its LINK programme, and consistent with Délifrance’s business, its CSR policy focuses on three areas with three specific and quantified action plans:
Sustainable food
For many years already, Délifrance has been taking great care in choosing its raw materials by including sustainability criteria in the choice of its ingredients. Délifrance now has:
- 100 % certified RSPO* since the end of 2021 for products made in our European sites
- 100% cage-free eggs since January 2020 for products made in our European sites.
- 25% UTZ**-certified cocoa worldwide in 2022.
* Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil certifies the use of sustainable palm oil.
** Universal Trade Zone: A sustainable certification programme for coffee, cocoa and tea
Packaging
- Towards 100% recyclable or reusable packaging by 2025. That’s the aim of our “Sustainable Packaging 2020” Roadmap. Our aim is to design and produce packaging that has the lowest possible environmental impact while remaining safe and convenient for our customers.
